Following the mission statement of the FOOLS, The Heart of Texas FOOLS take great pride in preserving tradition, heritage, pride and honor in the Fire Service. We will go great lengths to promote the brotherhood, take care of each other, educate and mentor our younger generation of firefighters and commit to our communities to "make the difference." The leather helmet symbolizes who we are, not what we are. Through the leather helmet, the H.O.T. FOOLS will hold ourselves to a higher standard, to represent bravery, honor, pride and integrity while preserving the rich heritage and traditions that make the fire service what it is today. When we don the leather helmet, we will honor tradition, pause to remember and NEVER EVER forget the sacrifices that our fallen Brothers made in the line of duty.
